providers including physicians and advanced Family Practice Nurse Practitioners.
With over 17 years of clinical experience, this team is committed to seeing your family regardless of
the state of the world. All providers are local to the Rio Grande Valley Area.


Rodrigo Argenal, MD, FAAP
Clinical Assistant Professor Pediatrics, UTRGV
Doctor Argenal is a board certified pediatrician with over 17 years of pediatric expertise in hospital and clinic settings. He graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Centro America in San Jose, Costa Rica. He completed an internship in family practice at the University of Alabama, before deciding to specialize further into Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric specialty training, from the University of Florida, in 2004.
He moved to McAllen after completing his specialty, and served the local community as a pediatric hospitalist for 5 years before opening his own practice in 2009. He is the proud father of three children, ranging in age
from 9 to 16 years old.

The video appointment will happen through our website. You’ll receive a link to get into the waiting room at the time of your appointment.
What Hours Is Telemedicine Available?
We are available from 8am to 9pm every day, including weekends.
Can I use my insurance for telemedicine?
Most medicaid and commercial insurances cover telemedicine, however, you should check your specific insurance plan. If you have any questions, please call your insurance or our billing department before your visit.
What happens if my child needs to be seen in person or needs additional tests?
If your child needs testing, we’ll ask you to visit our office but remain parked in a designated spot. A nurse will take a swab or whatever sample is necessary while taking all necessary safety precautions. Then we’ll give you your results and the appropriate medicine.
